Exciting Milestones at Refreshweb Group: Two Major Platform Launches and a New Strategic Direction

Over the past 30 days, our team has successfully delivered two full platform deployments alongside the rollout of a refreshed brand and go-to-market strategy. It’s been an incredibly productive month!

We are thrilled to announce the complete rebuild of TheOnsiteManager.com.au, Australia’s leading online marketplace for management rights, strata, and property management. This represents our first major code deployment since 2016 — a decade in the making.

The new platform features a high-performance Google Angular frontend that connects seamlessly to our proven backend infrastructure (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). The results speak for themselves: page load times have dropped dramatically from ~12 seconds to under one second. By adopting an MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture, we’ve achieved clean separation of concerns across code, layouts, and data models. We’ve also introduced Git version control and a dedicated staging environment, significantly improving development reliability, testing, and deployment stability.

As part of this modernisation, we migrated from three colocated physical servers in a US data centre to scalable cloud hosting in Sydney, Australia. This move has delivered further performance gains through reduced latency, greater flexibility for future growth, and meaningful cost savings. We were also able to decommission our CDN, with all image caching and delivery now handled efficiently via AWS.

In a sign of the times, we transitioned server administration responsibilities away from our long-term provider, GlowHost — whose service was always excellent — toward more agile AI-powered solutions. Tools like Claude now enable faster, more cost-effective management of our infrastructure. While this reflects the transformative power of AI, it also highlights the evolving landscape for traditional IT roles. We remain committed to responsible innovation that balances efficiency with human expertise.

As expected with a platform serving over 60,000 monthly users, we encountered a few initial teething issues post-launch. Thanks to rapid support from our team and intelligent AI assistance, these were quickly resolved, allowing us to maintain strong momentum.

Next, we proudly launched the new AllRentals.com.au platform — the culmination of more than 12 months of detailed analysis and two years of dedicated software development. Our vision is to establish AllRentals as Australia’s most powerful, feature-rich, and affordable virtual letting agency. This foundational release, deployed on Vercel with a robust LAMP-based data model, includes:

• An integrated property portal
• AI-powered image enhancement and photo editing tools
• Frictionless listing workflows with real-time editing and approvals
• A comprehensive CRM and expense tracker

Built for our current base of 4,000 registered users, the platform is designed for significant scale. Our target is to grow to 40,000 users over the next 24 months. We are now focused on the next critical phase: executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy. More details to come — watch this space!
